About Me.

I'm Montavious,

With over 20 years in manufacturing and production, I've dedicated myself to mentoring future leaders, both on the factory floor and through youth sports coaching. My passion lies in fostering accountability and a growth mindset to help people reach their full potential.Through this method during my time as a supervisor, I coached many employees into leadership roles and positions.

As a seasoned coach and leader, I've embraced the tough lessons of emotional and social intelligence, diving deep into psychology to better understand myself and those around me. My journey is dedicated to mastering the art of effective leadership and personal growth in an ever-evolving society, and I’ve spent years learning to do so.

We cannot become better leaders, until we become better selves….

Education

I understand that some individuals may be curious about my formal educational qualifications, specifically regarding my college experience and degrees. My journey began at Alabama A&M University; however, after my freshman year, I faced various life challenges that prevented me from continuing my studies. Nevertheless, I refused to let that define my educational journey or my quest for knowledge.

I firmly believe that valuable lessons and educators are present in our daily lives. Whenever I encountered someone willing to share their insights, I made it a priority to learn from them. I acknowledged my mistakes, embraced setbacks, and persisted without making excuses. I actively sought out opportunities to educate myself, enrolling in numerous free online courses, acquiring used college textbooks from others, and participating in educational forums. I consistently found ways to expand my knowledge, including investing in training and certifications, engaging with literature from diverse educators, and conducting thorough self-reflection to identify areas for improvement.

It is important to recognize that while my path may be unconventional, it is by no means rare. According to recent statistics, 62% of adults aged 25 and older do not hold a bachelor's degree. Additionally, in 2022, it was reported that 62% of recent high school graduates aged 18-24 were not enrolled in college.

These statistics highlight the individuals we encounter regularly in our lives—those seeking to grow and excel, yet unsure of the path to take. There is untapped potential within each of us, and the possibility for growth is universal.

It is for this reason—my experiences and the experiences of others like me—that I am dedicated to my work and mission.

I could have formally gone back to college, but the simple truth is......I didn't want to....It wasn't my path.
