Are They Accredited?

Coursera itself is not accredited, but it does partner with accredited educational institutions to bring availability of their programs to everyone at more affordable prices. The courses offered are taught by the certificate issuing institution, their staff, and signed off on upon identification verification. The institution that appears on the certificate is who holds the accreditation

College Credit or Not?

Each institution independently decides whether their courses offered through Coursera can be applied toward academic credits and a degree.
